Floral art by Ned Davis at The White Meeting House

The White Meeting House presents a show of floral art by Waterbury resident Ned Davis.  Ned was commissioned ten years ago as the country’s first Minister of Liturgical Floral Design.  In that capacity, he has created weekly installations which use flowers to explore ideas of spirit, challenge and grace.

Opening Sunday, November 1 and running through December 9, his work demonstrates the dramatic potential of this medium for artistic expression. Although developed in response to religious texts and ideas, Ned’s pieces speak to universal experiences of struggle, doubt and joy.

Taken together as a body of work, this collection of 14 pieces show a remarkable story of how one person can follow their passion, share it with the world, and enrich the lives of those around them.

Admission is free and open to the public.  The building is open Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 to 4, or by special appointment (244-6606).  There will be an artist talk, date to be announced.
